Kanpur: – Kanpur famously known as the ‘Manchester of the East’ is located in Uttar Pradesh, India. Kanpur is the 12th most populous city of India, nestled on the banks of the holy Ganga.  It is the second largest industrial and commercial town in North India with its own historical, religious and commercial importance. Kanpur is the fifth largest city of India and its total GDP is 17 billion dollars which makes it one of the top industrial towns of India. According to the hindu mythology, it is believed that the place is has derived its named from Karnapur ‘town of Karna’.  The city was funded by Raja Kanh Deo of the Kanhpuria in 1207 and named it Kanhpur, which later became Kanpur and under the British Raj, later abbreviated to “Cawnpore”. And if we talk about education, Kanpur has the finest educational institutes like IIT-Kanpur, University Institute of Engineering and Technology, GSVM Medical, etc.  The state is well linked to the major cities of India like, Lucknow, Delhi, Agra, etc. via NH 2 and 25.
