Ambala: – Ambala is a city in the north eastern part of Haryana, Situated near the border of Punjab State. It has two sub areas Ambala Cantonment and Ambala city, therefore it is known as twin city.  It is surrounded by Kurukshetra District lies in south, Patiala District lies in south and union territory of Chandigarh.  The climate of Ambala in May, June is very hot, with a temperature of approx 48 Degree C, while in  Winter it can be cold with temperature of approx 1 Degree C. from July to September Ambala receives around 70% rainfall and remaining it receives from December to February. It receives rainfall of around 48 inches, every year.

Ambala is the famous historical district of Haryana and it is said that it was founded by Amba Rajput during 14th century. Another version is that the district is after the name of goddess ‘Bhawani Amba’ whose temple is still there in Ambala city.

Ambala is connected to major cities like Delhi, Chandigarh, Amritsar, Shimla, and Punjab. Cloth market is the charm of city, which has around 900 – 1000 wholesale shops. The market has wide range of silk sarees, suits and designer dress material.
