Bhimtal: – Bhimtal is a small town located approx 25km from Nainital district, Uttarakhand. It is situated at an altitude of 1370 meter above sea level. It is a beautiful hill station around Bhimtal Lake in the foothills of the Himalayas. Bhimtal is named after legendary character of Hindu Mythology, Bhima of Mahabharata and it is known as ‘Devbhumi’, the land of Gods. It is the best place to explore the beauty of nature. The town has beautiful lakes, mountains, valleys and temples. It is famous for its Bhimtal Lake which has Small Island at its centre and one can enjoy boating in this beautiful Lake. The town has beautiful and serene environment and it is very quiet and peaceful place where one can enjoy their holidays. Bhimtal is approx 300 kilometers from Delhi. The climate of Bhimtal is pleasant in summers and very cold during winters. Bhimtal experiences rainfall in the month of July, August and September.  So it may not be a good idea to visit Bhimtal during monsoon season.
