Bikaner: – Bikaner is a deserted city in the north west of Rajasthan which is known for producing the best riding camels in the world. The city was founded by Rao Bika ji in 15th century. This city is located approx 300 km north – west of the state capital Jaipur. This place is also known as the ‘Camel Country’ and it is the fifth largest city in Rajasthan. The city has direct rail connections to Kolkata, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, Alwar, Agra, jalandhar, Jaipur, etc. The city is well connected with roads and is linked with major cities like Delhi, Agra, Ambala, Jaipur, Ahmadabad, Bhatinda, Haridwar, Jodhpur, etc. The city is situated in the middle of Thar desert and that is why the temperature goes around 45 Degree C. in Summers and in winters its fairly cold with temperature of 10 – 20 Degree C. The place is very popular among tourists and thousands of tourists visit here every year.
