Joshimath: – Joshimath is one of the popular pilgrimage spots located in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, India. The hill station was founded by Adi Shankaracharya and Joshimath is also known as ‘Jyotir Math’. It is situated at an altitude of 1890 meters above sea level. It is the most important and well known pilgrimage centre of India. Many Hindu devotees visit this sacred place during the pilgrim season.
