Kota: – Kota is a city located in the southeast of northern Indian state of Rajasthan and it is the only city in Rajasthan with a permanent river called Chambal. The city formerly known by the name Kotah and it has a number of coaching institutes for engineering and medical. The city is approx 250 km from Jaipur and is the 25th largest district of Rajasthan.  Kota is famous for its beautiful palaces and pleasant gardens. Kota is the third most famous city in Rajasthan after Jodhpur and Jaipur. In ancient time kota was once the part of the Rajput kingdom of Bundi and it became separate state in 17th century. Kota has high temperature throughout the year; summers are very hot and dry with temperate of approx 45°C but winters are cold and pleasant with temperature of approx 10°C. So the best time to visit kota is from November to February. One can reach kota easily by hiring a taxi as the city is well connected to the major cities outside the state.
