Kurukshetra: – Kurukshetra is one of the most historic places located in state of Haryana which  is also known as ‘Dhamakshetra’. The place is famous for its historic appearance in Mahabharata. It is named after King Kuru who was the Ancestors of Kauravas and Pandvas. Kurukshetra attracts many pilgrims because of its historic sites. It is said that the battle of Mahabharata between Pandavas and Kauravas were fought in on the land of Kurukshetra, and Pandavas who fought for right were victorious. Many people visit here in the month of December and January only to celebrate the festival of Lohri. Here you can explore the ancient history of India and history of Hindu Mythology. It has seen the rise and fall of many empires Kurukshetra is bordered by Yamuna River and most people used to visit here only to take a dip in Brahma Sarovar. Kurukshetra is located approx 150 Km northwest of Delhi. The city has rich culture and tradition.
