Ranthambore: – Ranthambore national park is one of the most popular and largest parks in India. It is situated in eastern part of Rajasthan near Sawai Madhopur. It is approx 10 km from Sawai Modhpur, located in Aravali hill Ranges. It is bounded by Banas River from north and Chambal River from south. It is approx 130 km from Gujarat, the capital city of Rajasthan. Ranthambore National Park is named after the historical Ranthambore fortress which still lies in the park. In ancient time it was a famous hunting ground for Maharajas. Today Ranthambore National park is one of the major wildlife tourist destinations of India which receives thousands of tourists throughout the year. This place is the major attraction for nature lover and wildlife photographers. It covers the area of approx 392 km² and it is the home of thousands of different species of flora and fauna. One can easily spot tigers during day time doing their natural Jungle habitat. Ranthambore has rich flora and fauna the Royal Bengal tigers are pride of the park. Ranthambore has 300 varieties of birds. The park gives you superb views and thrilling experience.
