Yamunotri: – Yamunotri is a source Yamuna River which is located in the state of Uttarakhand, India. Yamunotri Dham is situated at an altitude of 10,797 ft.  in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. It is believed that the Asit Muni, a revered sage, used to reside herein Yamunotri Dham. The most famous attraction of Yamunotri Dham is Yamunotri temple which is situated in the western region of Garhwal Himalayas and dedicated to Goddess Yamuna. The temple was constructed by Maharaja Pratap Shah of Tehri Garhwal. Yamunotri is located at the distance of approx 250 km from Rishikesh and approx 300 from Dehradun. The yamunotri dham is usually the first stop Chardham Yatra. The holy thermal springs at Janki Chatti is also the famous attraction of Yamunotri Dham which is located approx 7 km away. The holy shrine is located on the foot of the hill with beautiful and breathtaking sites. Yamunotri offers picturesque surroundings with the awesome view of snow clad mountains with pleasant environment. Gangotri: – Gangotri is one of the most famous sacred pilgrims amongst the Chardham Yatra. Gangotri is a Nagar Panchayat and the origin of river Ganges which is located in Uttarkashi district in the state of Uttarakhand, India. According to Hindu mythology it is dedicated to the Goddess Ganga who was the daughter of heaven and manifested herself in the form of a river.  The most famous attraction on Gangotri Dham is Gangotri Temple which was built by a Gorkha Commander in 18thcentury. This temple stands at an altitude of almost 3042 meters and the holy river Ganges originated from the Gangotri glacier. Gangotri Dham is well connected to major cities like Rishikesh, Haridwar, Dehradun and Delhi. Gangotriis visited by thousands of pilgrims every year. And accommodation is not a problem over here as a many ashrams are located on the other side which provides accommodation facilities to the pilgrims.

Sri Kedarnath Dham: – This is the most significant temple which is dedicated to god Shiva. This temple is located on the Garhwal Himalayan range, Uttarakhand in India. It is located approx 250 Km from Rishikesh and is one of the twelve Jyotirlinga’s of lord Shiva. It is situated at an altitude of approx 3,580m on snow draped peak, on the bank of river holy ‘Mandakini’.  Kedarnath is famous as ‘Tapobhumi’(the land of meditation) and   ‘Bhubaikunth’(heaven on earth). Kedarnath is the most important pilgrimage destination of Chardham Yatra. Doors of Holi Kedarnath open in the month of May, every year for pilgrims due to extreme weather conditions. Sri Badrinath Dham: – Badrinath is one of the most ancient Hindu pilgrims located in the Chamoli district in the state of Uttarakhand. The most auspicious pilgrim spot of Hindus offers a magical blend of divinity and natural beauty. Badrinarayan or Badrinath is a Hindu temple which is dedicated to lord Vishnu. Because of extreme weather conditions in the Himalayan region, Badrinath is open for six months every year (between May to the beginning of November). The temple is located at the banks of Alaknanda River at an altitude of 10,300 ft. Badrinath is one of the most visited pilgrimage centers of India every year. Badrinath is one of the most famous Dham of Chota Char Dham pilgrimage sites. The famous attraction of Badrinath Dham is statue of Vishnu in the form of Lord Badrinarayan which is made by black stone. There are two famous hot water kund in Badrinath know as Tapt Kund and Surya Kund. The temperature of water in these kunds remains 55 degree C. throughout the year. People came here to remove impurities from their body and mind as it is believed that taking a bath in these springs purifies the mind, body and soul.
